Chain Stitch & Blanket Stitch

Take out your folder, pen/pencil, and project bag. Read the start-up information and complete your bell ringer.

Objective: I can recall a running stitch, back stitch, & overcast stitch. I will complete a chain stitch & blanket stitch by the end of the period.

Agenda:
  1. Review bell ringer 
  2. Folder Check!
  3. Thread needles and knot
  4. Review: Backstitch and finish initials
  5. Start: Overcast stitch and chain stitch
  6. Complete: Overcast stitch and chain stitch on stitch chart
  7. If time Demo: Blanket stitch
  8. Complete: Blanket stitch
  9. If time, demo & complete sewing on a button/sequins/pom poms
Homework: 

  1. Bring a FACS folder!
  2. Watch and review stitch procedures (youtube links below)
